Wax Melt Safety & CLP Information
At Mischievous Melts, your safety is just as important as your scent experience 🖤
What is CLP?
CLP stands for Classification, Labelling and Packaging.
This is a UK regulation that ensures products containing fragrance oils (like wax melts) are labelled with the correct safety information.
All of our wax melts are fully CLP compliant. Each product is labelled individually with:
- Relevant hazard information
- Allergen details
In line with UK regulations, CLP information is also provided at the point of sale on each product listing, so you can review this information and make an informed decision before purchasing.
This means you can shop with confidence, knowing everything meets UK safety standards.
How to Use Wax Melts
Using your wax melts is simple:
- Break off 1–2 pieces of wax
- Place into the well of your burner
- Light a tealight underneath
- Enjoy the scent as it melts ✨
Wax Melt Safety Guide
To use your wax melts safely, please follow these guidelines:
- Use only in a suitable wax melt burner
- Use standard 4-hour tealights (larger tealights may overheat the wax)
- Do not overfill your burner
- Never leave a lit burner unattended
- Keep away from children and pets
- Do not move the burner while in use
- Place on a heat-resistant surface
- Ensure good ventilation
- Do not add water
